Find a Job - Part 1 - Make a plan & Expand your search

Over the next few weeks, I want to share with you my 25 year experiences in the Business world. Namely, I want to share with you how I have very rarely been unemployed in my entire life. I started my very first business when I was 8, and I have worked a steady income producing job since I was 15 years old. I have never worried about the economy and I never listen to the media. I have only listened to me and I follow my instincts. You can too! I can help you! I am a 41 year old business woman who really likes to help people find jobs. Do not let others tell you, you can't find a job. YOU CAN! I know a girl right now who did not listen to others and she is working full time with benefits. THE KICKER! She did not even finish high school! SHE found a medical job!!! Plus they plan on training her for advancement! I am not making this up. That is my point. This is not a pie in the sky story. Anyone can do it. And I am going to show you how. All you have to do is keep reading and actually want to work at finding a job. If you are unemployed, turn O off and get to work finding a job. It is not going to be easy... BUT it can be done.

I am going to give you every detail on how to find a job. If you want to try it, great. If you don't... no sweat off my back. I am doing this for fun. Maybe I will write a book one day. But, until then, I am giving you this for free.

First, let me say, I know the market it bad. Well, not just bad... it is terrible. But, it is not terrible in the way most people look at it. You have to remember there are still jobs out there. Businesses must still conduct business. Older people are retiring (especially now that companies are trying to save money by getting rid of older employees), and young families having Babies everyday (many times female workers will stay home after having a baby).

The problem now is not a lack of good jobs, but the amount of people applying for those jobs has grown to above normal levels. So, instead of walking into a job with 5other people applying for the same job, you now have 100 applicants! The job is still there, but your chances of getting that job has just dropped lower than a snakes belly.

So, how can you apply for a job and raise the chances that you will get a job.

You have to actually write down a daily plan. YEP... get out a piece of paper and write down your daily plan. Come on, I am waiting....

You may write something like this - Apply to at least 3 jobs by lunch. Look up three more jobs after lunch. Shake three hands today and tell that person I am unemployed. (No shame in being unemployed - and people are willing to help).

If you don't do this, you have already failed. If you don't have a plan you will fall into a rut of getting up late and sitting in front of the TV all day.

OK so you feel stressed and scared. SO set aside 1-2 hours a day (evening is best) for fun, and it is ok if it is TV. You need to take a little while to excape reality of the stressful events happening. BUT, put these items on your PLAN!

Now, the first thing on your plan today and everyday is...

you need to do is expand where you are going to look for a job.

On this post I am going to updating my arsenal of links for employment. Some of these links will be old school for most people, but some may surprise you. Save the link to this exact post. I will edit it as I find more links to add to it. All you will have to do is continue to check back and look for new links.

In the next few days I will show you how to use these links to your advantage. Heck, if you are reading this you are looking for a new job or are unemployed, so take today to really get familiar with the companies offering the jobs. This information will be important as I post more ideas.
